Standardization
Consistency is key
We’ll identify areas where standardization can simplify your work, reduce errors, and free up your team to focus on what matters most. As your business grows, standardization will be key in ensuring business success. This can have a positive impact on defining equipment reliability programs, spare parts ordering, standard operating procedures and training programs.
Example
Many processing units had their own ‘mini-store’ of critical spare parts that were stuffed in a shed or room. Finding critical spares in the middle of an emergency could be difficult, especially if there wasn’t a maintained inventory list. This resulted in lost time waiting for the right part to show up.
The team identified critical spare parts that were common to each unit, and standardized across the business. They developed a list of critical spare parts and inventory needs, and the Procurement teams were able to then get better deals for the business.
This process can be facilitated via a series of workshops at your plant site or headquarters, and an action plan can be developed for the business needs.
